A lot of things have been going on behind the scenes.

 Local residents and members of the Parish Team gathered in May to celebrate the arrival of fibre broadband in the village; although it's not yet available to all.

Long Lane was closed between Haughton Moss and Spurstow School corner in June for drain works.

And local Wild Garlic made it onto The Nag's Head menu !

So what can you expect in the future from these ramblings?

A look at life past and present in the village, and anything else that comes our way or makes us smile.

Welcome to our blog about the village of Haughton in Cheshire

The Parish of Haughton lies to the northwest of Nantwich within the Cheshire East Borough Council. The village derives its name from a Norman surname, although little is known about the family from this time other than that they were granted the land by William the Conqueror for their help in the Battle of Hastings.
